Are you someone who craves alone/me time? Do you just want some space all to yourself, or maybe with some female companions? We totally get how you feel. As women, there are certain times we just want to enjoy the company of ourselves, or our female friends. No kids, no husbands, no parents and NO MEN. Just you, and maybe your galpals.
It might seem impossible, especially for married women, but guess what? It’s not! There is a slew of places in the Klang Valley where you can do just that – just you (and maybe your besties).
So with International Women’s Day just a day away, what better way to celebrate the occasion than by visiting some of the Klang Valley’s best women-only venues that’ll make you feel safe and awesome! Safe spaces, here we come!
1. Custom Experiences
Barbie Pink Afternoon Tea by The Grand Hyatt
Barbies were definitely a part of your childhood (if you’re a parent, it’s a must to know this!). Those plastic dolls were omnipresent, whether you had them or knew someone who did. As an adult, you may now enjoy the entire Barbie experience and relive your childhood! Barbie Café is a glasshouse restaurant with photographic wonders, one with Barbie written all over it, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktail to complement the magnificent hotel stay.
This is Malaysia’s first “experience” of its kind. Rooms at the Grand Hyatt are completely Barbie-themed and wonderfully pink. Everything you see is Barbie – from the time you step out of the elevator until you reach your designated room. You can even have a Barbie-themed afternoon at their Barbie Cafe if you book one of the Barbie rooms! What a fantastic idea!
2. Women-only Spas
What better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than by rejuvenating yourself! Ladies may escape reality, even if only for a day or a few hours, with a relaxing spa day, and not just any spa, but spas specifically designed for women. Here are some places you could consider going.
Lax Retreat
Check-in and have a pleasant day with this spa’s picture-perfect interior designs! Lax Retreat, which was created by women for women, offers tailor-made pampering services such as massages, facials, and mani-pedis. You can select a playlist to listen to throughout the treatments, certain scented oils and diffuser fragrances, and even light orbs to signal to the staff that you are ready.

Bondahaven
This is an excellent pick, particularly for mothers. Bondahaven is Malaysia’s first breastfeeding expert and spa, and its services make it a genuine haven for mothers. Lactation consultations, traditional body massages, and rituals tailored to each woman’s requirements are all available at Bondahaven. As a result, you can expect a secure and pleasurable time as your worries go away!
