Succulent Jewellery Is The New Accessory Craze

It’s no surprise succulents are dominating Pinterest home inspiration boards everywhere. They’re relatively low-maintenance and portray a minimalist aesthetic that trend-followers just can’t resist.

Ushering in Etsy’s latest jewelry craze, store owner, Passionflower Made creates beautiful accessories out of the flower plant we’ve never really paid attention to, which can even be replanted once you’re done with the piece. Now your house can look like a jewellery box too!

A few living jewelry pieces from the @etsy shop that went out into the world this weekend! #valentines

Eco-friendly statement jewellery? Yes please. The designer who regularly works with flowers, Susan McLeary uses various echeveria, sedum and crassula, and does little to ensure the longevity of the plants. “They’re amazing little plants, hardy and resilient. They can live without water or soil for days, even weeks.”

There are 12 pieces customers can choose from rings, bracelets, collars, tiaras and more. Prices range from $19-$288, depending on the size of the piece and the number of succulents used.

FLORISTS OUT THERE! With a new project in mind, I'm asking every florist I know: what design techniques do you struggle with? What designs cause anxiety, uncertainty, or dread? I know many, many don't care too much for corsage….what other designs are causing trouble out there? Photo: @cjpandco From my recent master class at the @seattlewholesalegrowersmarket

In need of a statement necklace to brighten your look? Put a succulent on it. Want a delicate ring with an organic vibe? Put a succulent on it. Trying to rock the flower crown trend in a new, creative way? Put a succulent on it.
