You can always count on the Kardashians for an over the top celebration, especially if it involves Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter’s first birthday.
Baby North turned 1 on June 15 and to celebrate her birthday, Kim and Kanye threw a “Kidchella” birthday bash, a theme inspired by the well-loved music fest Coachella. The party featured a “a variety of carnivalesque activities for kids of all ages”, according to E!
Here’s what you need to know about North’s “Kidchella” birthday bash:
1. The invitation featured the desert-mountain backdrop of the Empire Polo Field in Indio where Coachella is thrown annually, and guests were encouraged to wear “festival inspired fashion.”
2. The guest list included Kim and Kanye’s friends such as Ciara and her newborn baby boy, LaLa Anthony and her son, Blac Chyna and Tyga with their son and Rachel Roy. Guests were given the opportunity to adorn themselves with flower crowns, temporary tattoos, face-painting and hair-braiding.
3. Where the party at – The birthday bash was held in the spacious yard of Kourtney Kardashian’s Calabassas, California home which she just bought earlier this year. Both Kourtney and Khloe flew in from New York for their niece’s first birthday do.
4. There was a ferris wheel and teepes at the party. Kendall Jenner, 18, posted a shot of herself from the ferris wheel on her Instagram page. North’s youngest aunt, Kylie , 16, also shared a snapshot of herself with a friend and Khloe, who was all decked out in a Native American headdress.
