Creative Fest 2014 will be held in Johor Bahru on the 4th and 5th of January by Malaysia Design Development Centre (DDEC), a subsidiary of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) and under the auspices of Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKLW). DDEC will also organize a ‘Seminar Outreach Usahawan’ program for two days, which involves expert speakers from the industry. The program is expecting a total of 300 entrepreneurs from Johor and it will have two segments, ‘Seminar Pembangunan Penjenamaan Perniagaan’ and ‘Seminar Pembangunan Imej Perniagaan’.
Other activities lined up also include the exhibition, ‘Art Of Speed Malaysia’ which features more than 30 finest contemporary and classic interpretation of art and creativity of automotive culture. A number of American cars, various motorcycles and low-rider bicycles will be showcased at the event.
There will also be exhibitions and sales by various local independent brands of clothing at ‘Tempatan Fest 4.0’, such as Abstrax, Legit, Rare, SSCG, District and many more. Aside from that, Creative Fest 2014 will also have showcases by Kelab Speda Tua Johor and the Vespa Johor club. There are over 30 activities such as parkour, BMX shows, football freestyle, beatboxing and workshops, performances by Project Rabak, an indie band performance by KLPN, lomography and a graffiti wall.
Creative Fest 2014 targets to provide training and a platform for entrepreneurs and youths (Gen-Ys) for the southern region in Malaysia. The theme of Creative Fest 2014 is “Creativity Improvise Your Life”, which targets at creating business through creativity.
