A female officer destroyed a 17-year-old marriage by having an affair with a man’s 36-year-old wife. The affair was revealed by the couple’s eldest daughter of seven who often sees a “man” picking up her mum from their home in Krobung Jaya, Malacca, since early August when her father is at work.
The suspicion started when his wife came back home with expensive gifts that the husband (who works as a factory worker) couldn’t have afforded. Upon questioning his wife, she told him that the things were gifts from a female friend. Unsatisfied with this answer, he started doing his own investigations and found out the shocking truth that his wife was having an affair with a female police officer.
After breaking her promise to end the affair, the 40-year-old man brought his strained relationship to the attention of Malacca’s Religious Department. He also lodged a police report at Durian Tunggal on Sunday evening. The case will soon be heard at the Syariah Court.
