After months of searching, skincare brand, Clean & Clear finally found the dynamic duo to be the faces of the brand through its annual Top Best Friends Contest. Sara Amelia Binti Muhammad Bernard and Shana Kirren Kaur were officially selected as the new faces of the brand at the finale which was held last Wednesday.
The girls who both came from Ipoh were only 19 years of age and we had a chance to have a casual chat with them. Here is what they had to say when it came to beauty and friendship.

Q: How do you girls define friendship?
A: Friendship is a form of love and it’s about being completely honest with someone knowing that they would love you unconditionally. It is when you can tell that person anything and that person would never judge you no matter what.One soul in two different bodies – that’s how we define friendship.
Q: What has been your biggest challenge so far?
A: Our biggest challenge was when we were in Form Four when a third party got involved. We went through that depression of losing each and another, we fought for attention and there was a lot of drama involved. We did not speak for months but eventually we started talking to each and another again hence that is why we are here today.
You may go think that only teenagers go through this, but if you think again, many people in the adult world go through it as well.
Q: How do you girls define beauty?
A: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as it is basically the persons opinion. But it is just not about the physical looks. True beauty is your inner beauty which are qualities that you posses. People who can be considered beautiful in this world are the compassionate and kind ones because the true light shines from within. That description fits Angelina Jolie as she is completely selfless.
Q: What would you like to say to our readers about beauty and friendship?
A: When it comes to beauty, keep it natural. Do not use too much make up. We are still very young and teenagers these days enjoy using a lot of make up. You do not need that but rather your personality defines yourself. Be kind hearted, compassionate and generous. Work on your qualities instead of just focusing on your physical looks. When you are a nice person, you would appear beautiful to anybody. Friendship on the other hand is never smooth sailing. We got our ups and downs but we will never say anything bad about each and another and we’ve always got each others backs. We may fight internally but to the rest of the world, do not mess with us.
