After 25 years, Bobbi Brown is leaving her namesake cosmetics line. She is expected to leave the company, which is now owned by beauty giant Estée Lauder Companies, by the end of 2016.
While we are bummed that this creative genius is making her exit, we’re sure the brand will be in good hands of the current global brand president Peter Lichtenthal who will oversee the business in her absence.
Brown is yet to disclose her next move, but sources speculate that she’ll have a new business endeavour in 2017. Her expertise in the industry is indisputable, although it is unclear whether or not she’ll still be sticking with beauty.
Bobbi Brown was one of the first few inspirations for the no-makeup makeup movement, which championed the barely there makeup look all across the globe, even on the runways.
Thank you for 25 years of amazingness, Brown. 🙁
