A unique “face” formation is appearing on the surface of St John’s Peak on Mount Kinabalu and it is startling climbers and netizens.
Kinabalu Park manager Yassin Miki mentioned that the “face” was obvious in certain lighting conditions and that it would become very noticeable just after sunrise.
Some people who have seen it have also claimed that the “face” had eyes, a nose and mouth.
The formation was noticeable even before the earthquake on the mountain in 2015 that killed 18 guides and climbers.
We’re so intrigued and would love to see it for ourselves!
