When President Barack Obama introduced the Obamacare back in 2010, he received a lot of backlash for it. The majority of people opposed it, saying it complicated the healthcare system, taxes, and even increased the cost of healthcare for everyone.
Some even thought it was a waste – young people tend to be healthy and to not need coverage as often as older Americans.
One strong opposer of the Obamacare recently changed his mind about this when he got treatment for a serious autoimmune disease through the Affordable Care Act.
Brent Brown, the American citizen, had a ‘pre-existing condition’ and could never purchase health insurance. Only after the ACA came into being could he be covered. Out of guilt and in hopes of getting the message across to the entire country, Brown wrote an open letter to President Obama.
