Because everything’s becoming automated, your future sushi could be prepared by a robot with freakishly realistic hands and I hope with a head. For now, this Robot Hand H-Type is made of polycarbonate and rubber and has 16 joints and 22 actuators that can lift up to 3.3 pounds. In the video, the robot hand is seen demonstrating how it can lift a piece of sushi from one plate and without crushing it, place it on another plate. Somehow, I’m not looking forward to robots serving me sushi and they’d better put a less freakish head on that thing.
