You’ve just got to love technology because in the future, you clothes could be printed using a 3D printer. Today, 3D printers are already used to create 3D textiles that are currently displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Designer researchers like Freedom of Creation in Amsterdam and Philip Delamore are discovering the potential of using such technology and combine it with software that can convert three-dimensional body data to make skin-conforming fabric structures. This means that instead of having pieces of cloths that requires sewing, the printer can directly print out clothing and thus requires less labor and have less wastage. It doesn’t look very comfortable though and it seems a tad too holey to be worn on its own but this is only the beginning and I sure hope they have stretchy material; I wouldn’t want to have to keep getting new clothes every time I put on or lose any weight since the clothes are tailor-made to fit your body measurements.
