Sorbets are a great way to cool down in the hot weather and serve as a light, chilled dessert for brunch and lunch. DIY it tastes so much better.
Ingredients:
- 2 Egg whites
- 2 apples
- Crispy A
- 1/3 cups Viking fjord Eple
- 1 3/4 cups Water
- 3/4 cups apple cider
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 3 1/2 pounds peeled Granny Smith apples
- 1 dl White sugar
- 1 tablespoon Cardamom
Method:
- Core and coarsely chop the apples. Put everything except the vodka in a pot. Boil until the apples are soft. Puree in a mixer and strain through a sieve. Leave it to cool down a bit. Pour it into the ice cream machine and add the vodka. Wait until you have the perfect ice cream consistency.
- Crispy Apple skin with sugar and cardamom: Put the oven on 100 degrees (250 Fahrenheit) Peel the apples, as thinly you can. You just want the skin! Whisk the egg white with a fork, dip the apple skin into the egg with, cover them with sugar and then sprinkle with cardamom. Whack it into the oven for 2 hours until they are crispy.
