My house is a mess, why not? We leave early in the morning for work and come back about 9pm after the traffic jam and dinner and by that time, I’ll be too tired to even get off my butt and into the showers – there’s definitely not enough time in a day to clean your house. Samsung has recently announced its new robot vacuum cleaner, the NaviBotTM in Malaysia to help simplify our lives.
The NaviBotTm is driven by a level of intelligence never seen before. The device can navigate around and takes images of your house so it can remember where it is at all times, making it smart enough to find its way around objects and back to its charging base. The integrated camera on the device will take 30 pictures per second so it can remember obstacles such as furniture and interior decorations. It will even calculate the quickest and safest route to take.
Here’s my favorite feature, there are brushes at the either side of the device so it can clean better even at the edges while the Sweeping Blades can collect dirt, debris and even pets hair! Yes, those annoying fur that gets collected to every corner of your house, I hope it can pick up human hair as well; long hair isn’t very household friendly. Don’t worry about its performance, it is designed with 38 sensors to ensure reliable cleaning, won’t fall down stairs or encounter sever collision, and won’t even get tangled in cables. Now of only Samsung can design some form of mop underneath this thing, and perhaps the ability to climb up walls and clean the corners that are collecting dust…but I’m sure even if the technology is available, the price will be unbearable.
The Navibot will be available in the market by mid-July at a recommended retail price of RM 2,399.00.
